Gas permeable (GP) lenses

Gas permeable or hard lenses may be fitted less commonly nowadays but have significant advantages for some people. In the 70s and 80s they were often the only lens available, but GP wearers now have a choice of lenses that includes more comfortable designs and materials as well as more specialised lenses for bifocal and multifocal wearers or keratoconus patients.

If you need to wear lenses for long periods, or want a lens that offers improved hygiene and vision, then GP CL may be attractive. Some researchers have shown that GP lenses can reduce the progression of short sight in some younger wearers.

We have been fitting hard and gas permeable lenses for 40 years, and our experience is hard to beat.

We offer economical lens plans - pay monthly and enjoy new lenses every year.

The new Essential Multifocal lens has arrived in the UK, already being the most popular multifocal in the USA . Peter Rockett specialises in fitting these lenses, which give exceptionally sharp far and near vision and a very high success rate. Free trials are available.
