Edward Lyons

Director & Optometrist

Along with seeing both NHS & private patients for all forms of eye care, including contact lenses, dyslexia and more, Ed has a special interest in Sports Vision. Ed’s innovative approach to assessing the visual profile of an athlete has seen his clients win domestic, national and international titles, and even the odd promotion to the Premier League!

Through Ed’s work, we were delighted to win the accolade of Sports Vision Practice of The Year at the Optician Awards.

He regularly features in Clay Shooting magazine in addition to writing for Clay Shooting Success & Shootclay.co.uk

Having assessed clients from 38 countries around the world, he is uniquely experienced in all aspects of vision and sport.

 

 

 

Peter Rockett

Director & Optometrist

Peter is an experienced optometrist with particular interest in contact lenses including gas permeable lenses; he has been an Ocular Coherence Tomographer (OCT)  (see link) user for 5 years and has led workshops on the subject at the National OCT Conference in London over the past couple of years.

An active MECS practitioner (emergency eye care) (see MECS link) he is also Secretary of the Wolverhampton Local Optical Committee and Clinical Lead for the MECS service and is closely involved with the development of eye care services in Wolverhampton and the wider West Midlands.

 

Keren Garcha

Optometrist

Keren Garcha joined the practice in January 2014 having gained a wealth of experience from previously working in the independent sector. Keren is a qualified Optometrist and Accredited School Vision Practitioner, she also specialises in: OCT, Colorimetry, Dyslexia, Diabetic Screening and Cataract Referrals and also proficient with the Emergency Eye Care Scheme (MECS). Keren is the Master Chef of the practice as she enjoys baking and it is always a treat when she brings her delicious cupcakes in for the staff to sample

Danielle Edwards

Optometrist 

Danielle Edwards graduated from Aston University in 2016 with a First Class Honours degree and joined as a full-time member of staff in 2018, after completing her Pre-Registered Optometrist training with us under the supervision of both Brenda Berg and Keren Garcha. Danielle has already undertaken specialised training in Emergency Eye Care (MECS), Cataracts and Intraocular Pressure Testing. Danielle is an enthusiast tennis player and a member of a local club.

 

Rebecca Georgia Wootton

Optometrist

Georgia studied for her optometry degree at Bradford University and graduated in 2015, she is our newest recruit, joining Flint & Partners in March 2018, she brings with her experience of working in both independent and high street multiple chain opticians. Georgia has a special interest in Cataracts, Emergency Eye Care and Ocular Coherence Tomography and is currently working towards an Independent Prescriber Diploma. Georgia is our keep fit enthusiast as she enjoys running and regularly takes part in half marathon races.

Lynda O’Connor

Group Practice Manager

Lynda joined the company as practice manager in 2012 having gained optometry experience in the independent sector; with many years of managerial experience under her belt she looks after the functionality of the four practice sites and the staff that make up Flint & Partners Eyecare Ltd. Lynda is committed to driving the company forward and developing the skill mix of staff along with ensuring we offer a first class customer service – Lynda is very patient focused and strives to ensure a really good delivery of care with the support of an amazing team of optometrists, dispensing staff and receptionists.
